With the arrival of the new book and its tacit approval by our resident shipping inspector (as photographed by our grandson Ben), it's a perfect time to look back at some of my early adventures in the publishing trade. (Also, please forgive me if I don't respond to your comments and questions right away... we're still working on exorcising the ghosts in the virtual machine.)
I read your novels very slowly, savouring my time with these people I have come to love. Growing up, I didn't have a great family life, but I feel I am sharing one with Joanne & her family.
